And the Caddies’ Favorite is…

2025 was our eighth year of the new and improved Caddie Lounge experience and the reviews were all positive! Special thanks to Caddie Concierge, Ron Keener, for organizing and continuing dozens of new and renewed partnerships for the John Deere Classic to support the Caddies.
On August 4th, Ron Keener (left), Caddie Concierge, Butch Peiffer (left center), Caddie Lounge Chair and Andrew Lehman (right), Tournament Director made the presentation of the 2025 Caddie “Most Valuable Sponsor” flag to Nicole Hoskins, General Manager of Portillos Hot Dogs.
The award is given each year to the company sponsor that has the most impact on the caddie tent. Portillo’s joined sponsoring the caddie tent a few years back with fantastic menu of the famous beef sandwiches, their pasta salads and those incredible slices of lemon and chocolate cake desserts. The staff has changed over the years an has had some rain delay starts, schedule changes and are always there for us, smiles and hospitality in place. Nicole took the reins this year from Evan and “Mama T” making Saturday lunch one that is looked forward to by those caddies that make the weekend cut.
The use of the pin flag is very symbolic. Caddies do not get all the hospitality and services that the players do when at many tournaments. They are never asked for autographs. The players are the stars. The players get the big fancy checks and receptions. However, the pin flag is very symbolic in that at the end of each tournament, the winning player’s caddie will return to the 18th hole and remove the pin flag as a memento of the week. Sure, they are compensated by the player for their efforts all week, but this is “their trophy” for the win. For the past eight years at the John Deere Classic, we have asked them to sign a pin flag, and give us their feedback on what vendor had an impact on their life that week.
We appreciate all the sponsors and look forward to continuing these partnerships in the future!
