And the Caddies’ Favorite is…

2026 was our ninth year of the Caddie Lounge experience and the reviews were all positive! Special thanks to our Caddie Concierge, Ron Keener, for organizing and continuing dozens of new and renewed partnerships for the John Deere Classic to support the Caddies.
On August 6th, Ron Keener (left), Caddie Concierge; Andy Fuhrman (left center), Owner of Godfather’s Pizza in Silvis; Jennifer Kress (right center), Director of Sales; and Andrew Lehman (right), Tournament Director, made the presentation of the 2026 Caddie “Most Valuable Sponsor” flag to Andy Fuhrman and the Godfather’s Pizza team.
The award is given each year to the company sponsor that has the most impact on the caddie tent. This year, Godfather’s Pizza was the first vendor confirmed as a sponsor for the new improved caddie tent. They have always been the opening day lunch for the caddies and a welcome grab and go bite for the day when most caddies walk the course checking for yardages and changes. Additionally, Andy provided pizzas to volunteer teams working outside normal hours and locations on course to ensure they are also fed during their shifts, expanding this service in the last year to include Transportation and Carts Committees ahead of tournament week.
The use of the pin flag is very symbolic. Caddies do not get all the hospitality and services that the players do when at many tournaments. They are never asked for autographs, as the players are usually front and center. However, the pin flag is special in that at the end of each tournament, the winning player’s caddie will return to the 18th hole and remove the pin flag as a memento of the week. Sure, they are compensated by the player for their efforts all week, but this is “their trophy” for the win. For the past nine years at the John Deere Classic, we have asked them to sign a pin flag, and give us their feedback on what vendor had an impact on their life that week.
We appreciate all the sponsors and look forward to continuing these partnerships in the future!
