Dierks Bentley to Perform at the John Deere Classic

Multi-GRAMMY® nominated country music superstar Dierks Bentley will perform Saturday, July 5 at approximately 5:45 PM, at this year’s John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run, completing this year’s Concerts on the Course lineup.

A hit-making singer/songwriter whose music stands at the intersection of mainstream country and bluegrass, Bentley has been a regular at the top of the country charts since he arrived in Nashville some two decades ago. The three-time CMA Award winner’s show will feature his new hit “She Hates Me” along with fan favorites from his eight No. One albums and catalogue of 22 No. 1 songs.

Tickets for the John Deere Classic go on sale April 1 at johndeereclassic.com.

“The John Deere Classic couldn’t be more thrilled to have Dierks Bentley perform for our fans after Saturday’s third round at TPC Deere Run,” said tournament director Andrew Lehman. “Dierks is truly an authentic entertainer whose energy and musicianship our audience is going to know and appreciate.”

Now in its third year, Concerts on the Course was the brainchild of tournament sponsor John Deere. “When we introduced Concerts on the Course two years ago, John Deere’s goal was to expand the appeal of the John Deere Classic beyond that of traditional golf fans and introduce other elements of the Quad Cities community to the tournament and the beautiful setting of TPC Deere Run,” said Mara Downing, Vice President, Global Brand and Communications. “We think Dierks Bentley and Zac Brown Band are going to helps us achieve that goal again this year.”

Both performances are scheduled to take place at approximately 5:45 p.m. on a stage to golfer’s left of the 18th fairway, a short time after golf concludes, as it did last year, Lehman said. Fans will be seated on the hillside to golfer’s right of the fairway directly across from the stage.

The 54th edition of the Quad Cities’ PGA TOUR event will be played the week of July 2-6 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis with Davis Thompson as defending champion and a purse of $8.4 million.

The John Deere Classic, which includes Birdies for Charity, is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization located in the John Deere Classic tournament offices at 15623 Coaltown Road, East Moline, Illinois.  Since its founding in 1971, the tournament has helped raise more than $189.6 million for charity.
