Third time is charm for Wesley Bryan who will compete in the John Deere Classic

SILVIS, IL

Wesley Bryan earned a “battlefield” promotion Sunday and his first challenge will be to compete at the John Deere Classic this week against his new co-workers: members of the regular PGA TOUR.

Bryan, 26, earned his third victory of the season on the Web.com Tour, when he survived a three-man playoff at the Digital Ally Open in Overland Park, Kansas.  The South Carolinian, who shot 20-under par on rounds of 65-67-65-67, birdied both playoff holes, a par 4 and a par 3, to secure the victory, worth $117,000.

Known for his trick shot videos with his brother George and as a contestant on the “Big Break” TV show, Bryan has proven himself to be a legitimate tournament player.  Earlier this season, he also won the Louisiana Open and the El Bosque Mexico Championship, both Web.com events.  He recorded seven top 10 finishes this season and accumulated $566,392 in official earnings.
