Luke Guthrie to Guest Saturday on WSCR

Former Illini and two-time Big Ten Player of the Year Luke Guthrie will be a guest on WCSR radio between 7:30 and 8 this Saturday morning, June 30.  Co-hosts Ed Sherman and Mike Esposito will be joined in-studio by John Deere Classic media relations director Barry Cronin.

Guthrie, who recently finished among the top 20 in his first PGA Tour event since turning pro, received a sponsor invitation to play in next month's John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis.  The tournament is July 12-15.

The tournament is hosting a special Illini Day on Friday July 13.  All Illini are encouraged to come out and support former Illini and three-time defending champion Steve Stricker in his quest to win four straight.  Stricker and Guthrie will be joined in the field by fellow Illini pro and Pekin native D.A. Points.
