The Regional Development Authority (RDA), founded in 1989, is the gaming license holder for the Rhythm City Casino Resort in Davenport, IA. RDA operates similarly to a community foundation, with the exception that the RDA has a single income source – Rhythm City Casino Resort. Grants are made from current income, and the amount of money available for grants is tied to the casino gaming receipts. Grants are awarded to support a wide range of projects to create a more vibrant, inclusive, and growing community. The RDA Board of Directors, made up of community volunteers, has awarded a total of $70 million to a broad range of community building projects.
